About MeasureTwice

MeasureTwice is a collection of free calculators for DIY construction and landscaping projects, built around one idea: the answer should be a shopping list, not a physics result.

Every calculator converts real-world dimensions — including feet, inches, and fractions, the way tape measures actually read — into the units stores sell: bags of concrete by bag weight, gravel by the ton, mulch by the bag or the yard, sod by the roll and pallet. Waste allowances are built in and disclosed, and each tool explains its formula so you can check our math.

The calculators run entirely in your browser. There are no accounts, no email walls, and using a calculator sends nothing you type to any server.

A note on accuracy

We source our conversion factors and coverage rates from manufacturer specifications and industry-standard references, and we state them openly on each page. But materials vary — moisture changes gravel weight, suppliers cut pallets differently — so treat every result as a close estimate and confirm final quantities with your supplier.
